2. Usage data
Whenever our website is accessed and when a file is called up, general data are automatically saved on this process in a protocol file. They are stored exclusively for system-related and statistical purposes.
No data are passed on to third parties or for any other analysis, unless there is a legal obligation for such.
The following data set is saved specifically for each retrieval:
- The name of your Internet service provider
- Your IP address or the IP address of your proxy server
- The browser software version
- The operating system of your computer
- The website from which you are visiting us
- Our websites that you are visiting
- Search words that you use or have used to find our website, if applicable
3. Personal data
We only process personal data where this is permitted by law or if you have given us your agreement.
Specifically:
- a. Contact:
If you contact us, we save your data for the purposes of processing your enquiry, as well as in the event that further correspondence might take place.
- b. Registration:
You have the option of creating your own profile.
We require various pieces of information from you for this, such as first name and surname, address and e-mail address. You will also be asked to save a user name and to set up a password to secure the account.
You also receive an e-mail from us sent to the e-mail address you have specified here for verification, and you will be requested to click a confirmation link in this mail.
We only use your data for administration purposes for your profile, and if necessary, to contact you with regard to registration.
You also have the opportunity to complete or update your details at any time via your profile.
4. Newsletter
We send newsletters, e-mails and other electronic notifications with specific information to selected customers or partners (hereinafter “mailing”) only with the consent of the person concerned. We use e-mail marketing services from mailXpert GmbH (Schulstrasse 37, 8050 Zurich, Switzerland) to send our mailings. The mailing data is stored on the website’s hosting server as well as on encrypted servers of mailXpert in Switzerland.
Our mailings may contain a so-called web beacon (tracking pixel) or similar technical means. A web beacon is a 1×1 pixel, invisible graphic that is associated with the user ID of the respective newsletter subscriber.
For each mailing sent, there is information on the address file used, the subject and the number of mailings sent. Furthermore, it can be determined which addresses have not yet received the mailing, to which address the mailing was sent and for which addresses the sending failed. In addition, the opening rate including information on which addresses have opened the mailing and which addresses have unsubscribed from the newsletter distribution list can be analysed. Furthermore, data on click behaviour within an automatically sent newsletter mailing can be collected. Technical information is also collected (e.g. time of retrieval, IP address, browser type and operating system). However, this information is only collected in pseudonymised form and cannot be assigned to the respective newsletter recipient.
We use this data for statistical purposes and to optimise future mailings in terms of content and structure. This enables us to better tailor the information and offers in our mailings to your individual interests. The tracking pixel is deleted when you delete the newsletter. We base this data processing on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f EU-DSGVO. This authorisation permits the processing of personal data within the scope of our legitimate interest. The legitimate interest consists of direct marketing and the analysis of the use of the mailings. You can object to this data processing at any time if there are reasons, based on your particular situation, which speak against the data processing.
For more information on the collection and use of your data by mailXpert, please refer to their privacy policy: www.mailxpert.ch/datenschutz.
To prevent the use of the web beacon in our mailings, please set your mail programme so that no HTML is displayed in messages, if this is not already the case by default.
If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time. For this purpose, we provide a corresponding link in each newsletter. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
5. Cookies
In some areas of our website we use so-called cookies. These file elements enable your computer to be identified as a technical unit during your visit to this website. This facilitates the use of our products and services, and also if you visit again.
However, you usually have the opportunity to set your Internet browser in such a way that you are informed of the occurrence of cookies, so that you can permit or exclude these, or delete existing cookies.
Please use the help function on your Internet browser to request information on changing these settings. We would point out that individual features on our website may not work if you have deactivated the use of cookies.
Cookies do not enable a server to read private data from your computer or which have been saved by another server. They do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain any viruses.
Cookies are processed to improve the functioning of our website. This is therefore required to safeguard our legitimate interests.
6. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google Analytics deploys so-called “cookies”, text files that are saved on your computer and enable the analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookies about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and is saved there. However, in the event of the activation of IP anonymisation on this website, your IP address will be abbreviated in advance by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other contract states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted by Google to the USA and abbreviated there. Google will use this information on our behalf to analyse your use of the website, to put together reports on the website activities and to supply us with other services associated with use of the website and the Internet. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not included with other data from Google. You can prevent the saving of cookies by setting your browser software correspondingly. However, we would point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website in full. Furthermore, you can prevent the recording of the data (including your IP address) generated by the cookie and about your use of the website by Google, as well as the processing of these data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en).
We would point out that on this website, Google Analytics uses the extension code “gat._anonymizeIp();” to ensure an anonymised recording of IP addresses (known as IP masking).
You can also prevent being recorded by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie is then set, which prevents the further collection of your data by this website. This procedure is recommended in particular when accessing our website via mobile devices.
You will find further information on terms and conditions of use and data protection at: www.google.com/analytics/terms/gb.html or at: www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html
